Hi! Welcome to my very first templated portfolio displaying my progress as a coder. I just completed the UMN Coding Boot Camp Full Stack Web Development Program, and I am hoping to find an entry level web developer job to further my learning in creating websites, web and mobile applications. I originally obtained a bachelor's of science in psychology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Minnesota. I am currently working at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis as a Psychiatric Associate in a mental health unit with children/adolescents.

Passionate about learning new ways to apply and expand my current knowledge. Excels at working collaboratively to organize projects and independently on assigned tasks. Experience using communication, patience and problem solving to support adults with physical and mental disabilities and children/adolescents in mental crisis. Excited to take my passion for supporting others and direct it towards working as a web developer to create web/mobile applications that better people’s lives.

RPG Game

This is one of my first javascript/jQuery projects. Each Crystal is assigned a random value and the user is given a random number to achieve. If the user gets to the correct number, the game resets and the user can play again and they get a win. If the user goes over, they get a loss and the game resets.

Train Scheduler

The point of this application is to explore the use of the Firebase API and moment.js to acquire user input, store in firebase, and utilize moment.js to work with a time input. It allows the user to input certain values and find out when their next train is coming based on some initial values.

Exoplanet Finder

This javascript application allows users to search all known exoplanets and compare their size to the Earth as well as plug in their weight to see what they would weigh on that planet.

Burger Devouring App

This app combines MySQL, Node, Express, Handlebars and a homemade ORM. It allows you to see a list of burgers on a menu, see burgers that have already been devoured. It also allows you to add in new burgers with a name. Each Burger on the menu has a Devour It! button that allows the user to eat the burgers.

GGtrivia

GGtrivia is a sudden death format trivia game that challenges the user to answer as many questions as possible before getting one wrong. User can compete for the top spot on the leaderboard and submit their own questions to a separate sequelize table that we can add if we so choose.

Click Memory Game

This application is a React-based memory game where the user clicks different pictures, the pictures are randomized after each click, until either they click all twelve pictures or click on the same picture twice. Either situation leads to a game over and allows the user to start the game again by clicking on a new picture.

VA Pension Esimtator

This application is a full MERN application utilizing both Material UI for some styling and Auth0 for user authentication. The user can login, fill out a survey, and get an estimate for what they may be eligible for in terms of VA Pension before going through the somewhat long and complicated VA Pension application process.
